Quantity Surveyor

We are currently recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor who will be responsible for estimating and controlling costs for our Project making sure that structures meet legal and quality standards. As a Quantity surveyor, you will be involved at every stage of a project.
Some of your duties will include and therefore experience is required:
- Experience of civil engineering works, including earthworks, roads, drainage and services.
- Preparation of Interim Applications and Final Accounts.
- Subcontract Management.
- Valuing of Sub- Contractors Applications & Certification of payments.
- Cash flow monitoring.
- Good communicator and client facing.
- Attending meeting and liaising with Main Contractor on commercial matters.
- Accountable for cost management and monthly CVR reporting to Senior Management.
- Produce and populate weekly production monitors for labour, plant and material.
- Implement and manage detailed record keeping.
- Producing monthly Cost Value Reports.
- Preparing take off’s and undertaking responsibility for measurements.
- Duties include Manual takeoffs/ Bluebeam computer aided takeoffs of drawings.
- Produce estimates and produce and price Bills of Quantities based on CESMM3.
- Managing change control.
- Valuing and agreeing Compensation Events.
- Attending meetings and negotiating with Sub-contractors on work packages.
- Responsible for managing projects costs from commencement to completion.
- Procurement for Sub-Contracting works.
- Undertaking cost analysis.
- Monitor actual costs and compare against the budget. Identify any discrepancies and discuss with the site team.
- Proficient in NEC 3 Option B Contract.
- Experience using CEMAR.
- Reviewing Contract and carrying out risk assessment from contractual perspective.
- Assisting on claim matters.
