We are currently recruiting for a CAD Engineer to join our design team based in Leeds, West Yorkshire.
CAD Technician
Role Purpose
The CAD Technician supports engineering and construction teams through the production and coordination of high-quality technical drawings and BIM deliverables for groundworks, tunnelling, and civil infrastructure projects across the UK.
Key Responsibilities
· Produce 2D and 3D CAD drawings in accordance with company standards and client specifications.
· Coordinate drawings with multidisciplinary engineering teams including civil, structural, geotechnical, and temporary works disciplines.
· Maintain drawing registers, revisions, and document control procedures.
· Work in accordance with BIM Level 2 / ISO 19650 standards for information management and collaborative delivery.
· Support clash detection and model coordination activities.
· Assist in producing construction sequencing and temporary works drawings.
· Comply with CDM 2015 regulations, company HSEQ procedures, and promote a positive safety culture across all activities.
· Support commercial teams by providing drawing outputs for tenders and as-built documentation.
Technical Requirements
· Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
· Working knowledge of BIM360, ProjectWise, or similar CDE platforms.
· Experience producing infrastructure, utility, and reinforced concrete drawings.
· Understanding of tunnelling methods such as SCL and TBM environments.
· Ability to interpret engineering calculations and design mark-ups.
Experience & Qualifications
· HNC/HND or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering or CAD-related discipline.
· 2+ years of relevant infrastructure or ground engineering experience.
· Knowledge of UK drawing standards and construction detailing.
