About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Crane Supervisor to join a major long-term construction project. This role is responsible for overseeing and coordinating lifting operations, ensuring all activities are planned and executed safely, efficiently and in compliance with project and regulatory requirements.
The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining high safety standards while supporting the successful delivery of site operations.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate all lifting operations on site.
Ensure lifting activities are carried out in accordance with approved lift plans, risk assessments and method statements.
Coordinate with Appointed Persons, crane operators, slinger/signallers and site management teams.
Monitor lifting operations to ensure compliance with health, safety and project requirements.
Conduct pre-lift briefings and ensure all personnel involved understand their responsibilities.
Verify that lifting equipment, accessories and cranes are suitable and correctly certified.
Identify and address potential hazards associated with lifting activities.
Maintain accurate records and support compliance with site procedures and industry standards.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Crane Supervisor on construction, infrastructure, industrial or civil engineering projects.
Valid CPCS or NPORS Crane Supervisor qualification.
Good understanding of lifting operations, lift plans and relevant legislation.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Ability to coordinate multiple activities while maintaining a strong focus on safety.
CSCS Card (essential).
Additional lifting operations qualifications and certifications are advantageous.
