JGL Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced Scaffolder and Scaffolder Mate to join a team working at South Crofty Mine in Redruth, Cornwall.

This is an excellent opportunity to work on a high-profile mining project, supporting ongoing operations and maintenance across various areas of the mine. The successful candidates will assist with the erection, modification, inspection, and dismantling of scaffolding structures to ensure safe access for site personnel and contractors.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Erecting, modifying, and dismantling scaffolding in line with site requirements and safety standards.

• Assisting with scaffolding works across all operational areas of the mine.

• Carrying out inspections and reporting defects or safety concerns.

• Loading, unloading, and transporting scaffolding materials.

• Working closely with site management and other trades to support project activities.

• Maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

• Adhering to all site-specific health, safety, and environmental procedures.

Requirements - Scaffolder

• CISRS Scaffolder Card (Part 2 or Advanced preferred).

• Previous experience working in heavy civil engineering, industrial, mining, tunnelling, or similar environments.

• Strong understanding of health and safety regulations.

• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

• Full UK Driving Licence preferred.

Requirements - Scaffolder Mate

• CISRS Scaffolder Labourer Card (COTS).

• Previous experience assisting scaffolders on construction or industrial sites.

• Positive attitude and willingness to support all scaffolding activities.

• Good awareness of site health and safety requirements.

• Full UK Driving Licence preferred.
